Career exploration helps you understand what career options match your interests and how to chart a path to achieve your professional goals. The first step in this exploration exercise involves having a better understanding of your own interests, values, and skills. This process will help you narrow down your career pathways to those that best fit you. Then, you can conduct research on what exactly each career requires, what opportunities for growth you will have, how to be prepared in advance, and so on.

Career Services Office

Career Services Office offers a range of services to undergraduate students in the area of career guidance and placements. Explore, engage, and excel as you embark on your professional journey. Your dream career is just a click away. The following services are available.

    One-on-One appointments:

    Through 1-on-1 career coaching & guidance, CSO prepares students for their prospective career path, enhances their employability skills, and helps them in the job application process to get potential jobs.

  • 2

    Group Workshops

    Industry leaders and LUMS alumni visit campus to conduct coaching sessions related to career readiness & exploration to develop students' professional & employability skill set.

  • 3

    Mock Interviews

    CSO engages LUMS alumni, industry experts, and HR professionals to conduct mock interviews, which enhances students' interview skills. They share feedback with students to improve communication skills and ace interviews.

  • 4

    Mentorship at Company Offices

    Day-long professional career guidance sessions are organised at organisations' offices during summer & winter breaks. Students get an opportunity to get career advice from experienced professionals and to understand organisations' cultures.

  • 5

    Alumni Mentoring Pilot

    CSO connects students with alumni for 1-on-1 guidance to benefit from their professional experiences, as alumni can provide the most suitable advice relating to their learning and exposure at LUMS with first-hand experience in the industry.

  • 6

    Career Fair

    CSO hosts the Annual Career Fair at the start of the spring semester, to connect students with prospective employers from diverse industries. Students network with participating employers to seek information about the organisations and explore job and internship opportunities.

  • 7

    Networking Sessions

    CSO organises school-specific networking sessions to connect students of the respective schools with experts of relevant industries for networking and career guidance.

  • 8

    Individual tracking of graduates

    CSO diligently tracks the graduates to ensure their placements and provides personalised support to job-seeking graduates & undergraduates.

  • 9

    Career-related workshops and events

    Events and workshops are organized by different student societies in collaboration with CSO.

You should start exploring and planning for your career as soon as possible, so you can start taking steps towards making yourself eligible for it (e.g. choosing a major, minor, pursuing non-academic opportunities, etc.).
